Directions to Networking and Telecommunications

Welcome to Networking and Telecommunications!

This page helps visitors find the Networking and Telecommunications offices, parking, and where to get a temporary parking pass.  If you don't know how to get to campus, please browse to Directions to Campus - Missouri State University External for directions from various locations.

Telecommunications Center - Blair Shannon (BLSH)

The main offices of the Networking and Telecommunications Department are found in the Telecommunications Center which is an addition on the northeast corner of Blair House.  Come here if you wish to visit the Director, Steve Coffman, the Telecommunications Coordinator, Debbie Ewert, Telecommunications Specialist, or any of the Telecommunications staff.  The "Telecommunications Center" balloon on the map below points directly to the east entrance.

PARKING:  If you have made prior arrangements, you may park in Lot #10A (towards the east side only), get a pass from the receptionist which must be returned prior to your leaving.  The receptionist will guide you to the office of the person you wish to visit.  The telecom training center and conference room 156 are also located here.  For a view of the entrance to Lot #10A External, see Google's Street View.  Please be courteous enough to walk around the flower bed and not through it.

If you have not made prior arrangements, have multiple cars, or the lot is full, please park in Lot #7 or Lot #14. Be sure to feed the meter or utilize the pay station (Lot #14 only) to cover the length of your visit.  Parking tickets are issued Public Safety and by the Springfield Police neither of which can we nullify.

Cheek Hall (CHEK)

The Networking side of the group is located primarily in this facility.  Come here if you wish to visit supervisor Josh Stuppy, or any of the networking staff.  The "Cheek Hall" balloon on the map below points directly to the north entrance.

PARKING:  If you have made prior arrangements, you can pick up a Guest Parking Pass at Parking Administration or, with enough advanced notice, one could be waiting for you at Cheek Hall.  If a pass is waiting for you, please put a nickle in the meter, get your pass from the arranged contact, and put it on your car.  Guest Passes are only good for the lot and date specified on the pass.  Be sure you are parking in the correct lot!

If you have not made prior arrangements please be sure to deposit enough coins or pay at the pay station (Lot #14 only) to cover the length of your visit.  Parking tickets are issued locally and by the Springfield Police neither of which can we nullify.

Additional Assistance

If you are visiting the Telecommunications Center, simply see the receptionist to find your parties.  If you are visiting someone in Cheek Hall, the following map will help you locate your parties.

For Cheek Hall, you'll likely be parking in visitor lot 13 just to the north of this map.  Walk south (National Avenue will be on your left), cross the one-way street (Madison Street), and follow the sidewalk for about 200 feet south to the north entrance of Cheek Hall.  Once in the building, follow the hall until you see 130A on your right.  This is Josh Stuppy's office.
