TDD - Telecommunications Devices for the Deaf
What is TDD?
A telecommunications device for the deaf (TDD) is an electronic device that allows typed text
communications over a standard phone line. The device is typically about the size of a big laptop,
contains a standard keyboard, and possesses small LCD screen on which text typed remotely appears. Sometimes
a remote operator will translate communications between speech and text as appropriate.
